Winter Bath Ritual to Nourish Your Soul

Updated: Apr 27, 2022

Working with your bath and shower water in a sacred way has many benefits. Water helps to cleanse and purify your energetic field from any intrusive or unwanted energies. Bath rituals can help to integrate your prayers and intentions into your life, making them more powerful and meaningful. Water, and the natural ingredients you put in your baths, can also assist with spiritual healing on our deepest layers. Finally, long soaks in the tub can support the body's natural detoxification functions, calm an anxious mind, and relieve tension. So, baths and showers are helping us in many ways that go beyond feeling clean and refreshed.

Upgrade Your Daily Bath

In my Raise Your Vibe eBook I share simple ways to turn your daily bath and shower into a sacred healing ritual. Here's six simple ways you can upgrade the energy of your water:

Release Toxic Energy

When showering, I bless the Water and ask it to help cleanse my auric field from all of the toxic and unnecessary energy that I've come in contact with throughout my day. I like to use the power of my intentions to visualize the toxins releasing from my body and going down into the drain.

Essential Oils or Herbs

If you prefer showering, consider tying a bundle of fresh lavender, rosemary or eucalyptus to your shower head or sprinkle a few drops of essential oil on the bottom of your shower floor. If bathing, add a few drops of essential oils or a handful of dried herbs to your bathwater and soak in their sweet aroma. Aromatherapy can play a crucial role in helping you to bring in higher healing frequencies.

Healing Crystals

Surrounding your bathroom with beautiful crystals can instantly help to transform the energy and heighten your experience. Many crystals, but not all, can be submerged into the water with you. Be sure to do your research before placing them in the water. If you're not sure, you can always decorate the edges of your bath and shower with the crystals to surround yourself with their energy.

Sea Salt

Salt baths are great for those days when you've been around a lot of people or when you are feeling overwhelmed or exhausted. When doing a salt bath, make sure you use real, sea salt (not Epsom salt) as this is the best kind to use for energetic clearing. A cup or two of salt mixed with a warm bath can be very transforming.

Oats

Oats can help to nourish the seeds you're planting of intentions, dreams and visions to grow or manifest as reality. Oats also contain a hearty, earthy kind of energy that can be helpful in grounding your energy. On a physical level, oat baths help to send moisture deep into your skin and can help to soothe stress and pain.

Whole Milk

Whole milk is often used in water rituals to symbolize nourishment and fulfillment. Milk is our very first meal and holds the frequency of the Great Mother's comfort and support. It's also known to soothe skin and promote healthy aging.

Skin Nourishing Lavender Milk Bath

This nourishing milk bath incorporates a variety of calming and grounding ingredients that can help you to feel nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually. Plus, it's my favorite one to use in the winter because of it's hydrating skin benefits.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup dry oats

  • 1/2 cup whole milk (you can substitute almond milk if you prefer)

  • 1/2 cup baking soda

  • 7 drops lavender essential oil

  • 3 drops frankincense essential oil

Directions

Set the mood by lighting some candles or surround your bath with crystals and gentle music. Combine all the ingredients together in a warm bath. Bless the water with your hands. Hold the intention of "nourishment and fulfillment on the deepest levels of your being". Sacredly soak and cleanse your body for at least 20-minutes before thanking the water.
